Melvis Langyintuo
Executive Director
Melvis Langyintuo is the Executive Director of the Canton Foundation (CF), the steward of the Global Synchronizer—responsible for upholding integrity and interoperability within the Canton Network, the world’s first privacy-enabled public blockchain purpose-built for institutional adoption. Melvis leads the acceleration of the adoption of the Global Synchronizer and champions open and inclusive governance.
Prior to the GSF, Melvis held senior leadership roles at OKX, a digital asset exchange, where he led initiatives across institutional business development, partnerships, and operations. He also brings years of experience from traditional finance, having worked at Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, and Morgan Stanley in roles spanning capital markets, macro trading, and product strategy across electronic FX & credit. An active participant in the Web3 ecosystem, Melvis is a strategic advisor and angel investor in early-stage blockchain and fintech ventures.
A 2012 graduate of Skidmore College with a degree in business and economics, Melvis served as class president for four consecutive years and was a standout on the men’s varsity basketball team. Before college, he was selected for the NBA Africa Basketball Without Borders Top 100 Camp and later attended The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey.
Outside his professional pursuits, Melvis remains an avid basketball player and is deeply committed to philanthropy and mentorship. He led fundraising campaigns for Pencils of Promise that resulted in the construction of two schools in Ghana. He also served six years on Skidmore College’s Alumni Board and has mentored numerous students and young professionals in their academic and career development. Melvis’ athletic drive extends beyond the court. He won back-to-back titles in the Wall Street Decathlon Team Competition and was recognized as the top fundraiser for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2015 and 2016.
